As a nutritional epidemiologist and dietitian, I study the connections between food and health. I’ve been working in this field for over 15 years as a researcher, nutrition counselor, lecturer, teacher, and health and medical writer. I’m interested in addressing something I call nutritional fear mongering… the daily drumbeat about what food is “poison” or which dietary ingredient is “toxic.” My goals include:
- Bringing truth, and sanity, back into the discussion
- Removing the fear and anxiety around food and health
- Helping people make informed choices about what they are eating and why
